How to use AI Render Edits

Follow these steps to get the best results when editing renders.

  1. Upload your image — Go to Edit and upload a clear image of your render or visualization. The tool works best with architectural scenes and consistent lighting.
  2. Choose mask or prompt — Paint a mask over the area you want to change, or type a short prompt describing the edit (e.g. replace grass with pavement, add people, change facade to glass).
  3. Generate and review — Click generate. Your edited image appears in seconds. You can undo, adjust the mask or prompt, and regenerate until you're satisfied.
  4. Download or refine further — Download your edit, or send the image to Upscale for higher resolution. You can also chain multiple edits in one workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is AI Render Edits?
AI Render Edits is Blue Moon's tool that lets you edit architectural renders and images using AI. You upload an image, then either paint a mask or describe the change in words. The AI applies the edit while keeping the rest of the scene coherent.
Can I use a mask and a text prompt together?
Yes. You can paint a mask to define the area to change and add a text prompt to describe what should appear there. This gives you precise control over location and content.
What can I edit?
You can add or remove elements (e.g. people, trees, furniture), change materials (e.g. concrete to brick, add glass), adjust the scene (e.g. different sky, time of day), and fix small errors. Best results come from clear masks and specific prompts.
How many credits does an edit use?
A standard edit generation uses 1 credit. Editing at original or higher resolution may use more. Credits are included in your subscription or can be topped up.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Every account includes 5 free generations per day on the Free Daily model — they reset at midnight UTC and never use credits — plus 3 credits when you sign up. To do more, upgrade to Light, Student, Standard, Professional, or Team.
